Mandatory Parents Meeting
Thursday, July 31, 2008
6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Location: Greer First Baptist Church

     
 
 
   

Our Mandatory Parent's meeting is July 31st at 6:30 at Greer 1st Baptist.
Hopefully we will be meeting in the sanctuary but watch your email in case that changes.
 
This night is very important to the unity of our co-op. We need at least one parent, both if possible, to be in attendance.
Highschoolers must also attend. If your middle school student is taking a high school course, they must also attend. PLEASE not bring other children for this night!
 
We are trying several different things this year to hopefully tighten up some rough spots.
 
This is the schedule:
Session 1: held in the room across from the elevator on the ground floor
6:30: Parent Assistant signups (these will be first come and on a # system; more details will follow)
           Tuition Payment-you will receive via email before the meeting your class schedules and payments. These can         be paid at any time via snail mail to avoid standing in this line (more instructions to follow from the membership coordinator) or on the night of the meeting.
 
Session 2: held in the sanctuary
7:15: General session for all parents and Highschoolers (we want them to take ownership of their co-op experience)
 
Session 3:

8:00 Elementary families break out session and meet the teachers (location TBA)
        High school parents and students break out session (sanctuary), meet the teachers
        Tuition payment may commence
          Sports AD and advisory committee on hand to answer questions
        Viewing of last years yearbook
        Meet the middle school teachers-there is no special session for middle school students
 
Session 4:
8:35 Parent Assistant Sign ups
       Tuition payment if necessary
        High school student contract signing-new this year! Our board members will be witnessing each student as they sign their contract for the year. Copies will be sent before the meeting for your student to bring.
 
Several of you have asked what to do if you cannot for some reason attend this meeting. You MUST have someone take notes for you and turn in anything that is still outstanding. Much information to the managing of a group this size on someone else's property is conveyed at this meeting. It is vital we are all on the same page.
 
Please let me know if you have questions! Please be in prayer before this meeting about ways you can help serve UHC where there are needs. We are looking forward to an exciting year!
